Understanding animal research
Signatories to the Concordat have agreed to be more open about their use of animals in research, and to abide by the following four commitments.
Commitment 1:
We will be clear about when, how and why we use animals in research
Commitment 2:
We will enhance our communications with the media and the public about our research using animals
Commitment 3:
We will be proactive in providing opportunities for the public to find out about research using animals
Commitment 4:
We will report on progress annually and share our experiences
Inotiv along with 128 U.K. organizations have so far signed the Concordat on Openness on Animal Research. Universities, charities, commercial companies, research councils, umbrella bodies and learned societies have all committed to help the public understand more about animal research.
Op 2 november 2021 ondertekenden 15 organisaties die betrokken zijn bij dieronderzoek in Nederland het Nederlandse Transparantieakkoord Dieronderzoek met de belofte om op een meer open manier te communiceren over hoe dieren worden gebruikt in onderzoek. De groep ondertekenaars bestaat uit universiteiten, universitair medische centra, wetenschappelijke instituten, bedrijven en verenigingen.
On November 2, 2021, 15 organizations involved in animal research in the Netherlands signed the Dutch Transparency Agreement on Animal Research with a commitment to communicate in a more open way about how animals are used in research. The group of signatories consists of universities, university medical centres, scientific institutes, companies, and associations.
Inotiv has joined with the USARO Initiative to endorse their Statement of Intent for a U.S. Animal Research Openness (USARO) Agreement.
