HistoTox Labs

In April, 2003, Jon Bishop founded HistoTox Labs in a small space within the biology building at Colorado University, providing preclinical histology services. While supporting local CROs and many other small- to mid-sized biotech companies, the lab outgrew the small space and relocated in 2007 to a larger facility. This was customized to allow for expansion of the bone histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) services. Since then, we’ve expanded our team considerably and also have become GLP-compliant. The team now resides in a 6,600sf secure, purpose-built facility at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado.

The company remains committed to growing their capabilities to support routine and specialized histology, IHC, histopathology and digital pathology. Our board-certified veterinary pathologists provide a great benefit to our internal teams and to our clients.

As a valuable compliment to the IHC services we have added the latest technology with an AT2 (Aperio) high-throughput slide scanner and the well-respected Visiopharm image analysis software.
